How do you get rid of sand fleas...?

I babysit a couple of kids and the one year old got bitten by sand fleas in their back yard.

You can also prevent sand fleas attacks using insecticides on anything organic outside your house. Insecticides help crack the skin of the sand flea. Once the skin of the sand flea is cracked, the insecticide has absorbed the oil and moisture in the sand flea's skin. Purchase insecticides that contain d-limonene, linalool and citrus peel extracts, and apply some on the bedding of your pets to prevent any possibility of having sand fleas breed and grow.

I used to live in Savannah, GA, and those little no-see-ums get right through screens and everything. Skin So Soft keeps 'em off you. They don't like it. We kept the stuff in our golf bags, beach bags, near the back door, etc.
