I just purchased an iTouch... ->?

And it's supposed to be 8G, but when I sync it on iTunes, it only shows that it has 7G... Is this normal?

    G alone means "generation"

    GB is "gigabyte"

    7"GB" is normal.

Yah because the apps that come on it take about 1 G of space. I bought the itouch the first day it came out.

Actually, this is! The iPod needs space to store the system files and blah, for example, the Mail app.

Also, does it say 7 gb or 7.something like 7.7 because usually the system files don't take up THAT much.

Assuming your chum bought all songs that choose organizing from iTunes, press circulate Purchases. you would be no longer able to play the songs etc untill your chum authorizes your notebook by coming into her password and username. you choose your chum to authorize your notebook earlier you sync/cope with. get them prepared and press sync, and in the adventure that your chum is a hardship-wart she will then unauthorize your notebook. pay attention! All untransfered songs (those bought exterior of iTunes) would be lost from her iPod and gets replaced mutually with your songs and the transfered purchases.

yes it is normal. why? because just to RUN the ipod touch is going to require memory. plus all of the applications already installed adds to the memory. yea dont worry bout it.
