Is it ok to ask your girlfriend to not get a belly button ring?

We just started dating a week ago, and she says she's been planning to get her belly button pierced. I think that's downright nasty. Am I a jerk for telling/asking her not to? I'm afraid i'd accidentally pull it out while giving her a hug or something..

If she still wants it after she knows how you feel about it nothing you can do...

I think you should just let her get it. I happen to want mine done also and my boyfriend thinks it would be hott.  I think you should let her do what she wants unless it is a life or death situation, but getting her belly button pierced isn't that big of a deal.

Hmmm. Tell her that. But don't STOP her...Don't guilt-trip her either, just let her know how you feel. Maybe she can get something else pierced?

if you just told her that you didnt like belly rings and you would prefer it if she didnt have one, then thats cool...you have your own opinion. its a whole different story if you told her she wasnt allowed to....i mean its her body.

uh she shouldnt i had mine for like4 months and i didnt want to heal. it it itches and my bf hated . bad idea
