I suppose you mean out as out of the refrigerator. I would say no longer than an hour or two, maybe 3.

I would say at least 2 days. If your house is not too warm. People are freaky about this kind of thing, but I promise butter or cream cheese left out for a day or two is not going to hurt you. I do it ALL the time. If I accidentally leave the cream cheese out (too long, like 4 days)and it gets a little bit of mold on it, I would just cut it off the end and use the middle.

I've left mine out overnight, yet sealed in the wrapper, for use in the morning. It was fine.
Leftovers from a cheese ball are okay if re-wrapped and refrigerated after your party.

depends
if you are going to use it right away as long as it has not melted and turned pink
if you are tossing it back in the frig as long as it is still cool to the touch
