Some gave all - Billy ray Cyrus

The memorial day song - (cant remember who did it)

God Bless the U.S.A. - Lee Greenwood

However, this is one Holiday for most of the United States that goes unnoticed. It is not about the start of the summer season. It is about the people who died in defense of our freedoms and liberties.

I could go on about world war 2 songs but i choose to remember all the soldiers at one time. Any time a military man or woman loses here life in honoring their country it is a sombre moment for us to reflect on why we take it so lightly anymore.

  • ♥ "WAR" - Edwin Star

*sings* ♫ War, huh, yeah What is it good for Absolutely nothing Uh-huh War, huh, yeah What is it good for Absolutely nothing Say it again, y'all ... ♫

♥ "The FISH Cheer (I Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die Rag) - Country Joe & The Fish.

*sings* ... ♫ Now come on mothers throughout the land, pack your boys off to Vietnam, come on fathers don't hesitate, to send your sons off before it's too late....

♫ --> Be the first one on your block To have your boy come home in a box!!!!!

♫ And it's one, two, three what are we fighting for? Don't ask me I don't give a damn, the next stop is Vietnam, and it's five, six, seven open up the pearly gates, Well, there ain't no time to wonder why ... Whoopee! We're all gonna die .... ♫

(Chumbawumba did a cover of this song and rewrote a few lines to make it more modern, but Country Joe's is the original, and the BEST.)

    xoxo ♥

ALSO: "Proud To Be An American" - Lee Greenwood is a GREAT song, and i actualy like it a lot.

*sings* ♫ I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. And I wont forget the men who died who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up, next to you and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God bless the USA. ♫ !!

EDIT: ----> All Along The Watchtower is a GREAT song. It was penned by Bob Dylan, but Hendrix does it great.

All of the songs i wanted to say have been taken. Civil War. One. War. Even the lyrics to that one. So my next pick was the Ballad of the Green Baret by Barry Sadler. Wouldnt ya know it, taken. Now i have no other alternative but to go with country. Ugh! OK! Lets see, 80% of Toby Keiths songs are about war and soldiers, so any of them will do.

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SOLDIERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
