XML Parsing Error: unclosed token?

I have many msn conversations saved in my computer and I recently wanted to open one of them but i keep getting this message

XML Parsing Error: unclosed token

Location: ...(wherever the file is)

Line Number 107, Column 318430:

I really wish I could fix this i had a lot of information on that conversation so what do i need to do? get a program or something?

Help please.

Update:

Already tried that, line 107 is huge, seriously, I just cant find the "unclosed token". That file is 2.100kb and its filled with text, is there any other way to find the error? any program or something or someone who can fix the file for me please?

    Hi Ariana,

If you type in the URL of your XML file into this validator, you can locate the error:

    http://www.validome.org/xml/

    or...

You can copy and paste your XML document into the textarea on this page and validate:

    http://www.xmlvalidation.com/

I'm guessing that it's one of the following:

    1. a tag which is not closed properly,

    2. an attribute which is not fully enclosed in double quotes " "

    3. improper nesting of tags

    Best regards,

How are you currently opening the file - in Internet Explorer? If you are, and the conversation file you are opening has a structural or syntactical XML error within it, then IE will simply report the error.

If it is only the information within the conversations you want to see, then you could simply try opening the XML file in an application like Notepad. To do this, you could right-click on the file, select "Open With..." and choose Notepad from the list of programs. The only problem with opening a conversation in notepad is that it will not be formatted as it usually is in Internet Explorer or another web browser.

The other option is to look at line 107 of the file and attempt to fix the "unclosed token". This is likely to be a manual exercise as it could be something as simple as a missing character within the file.

    Hope this helps!
