Nosferatu was the German name for a vampire. A silent film titled Nosferatu was made and distributed both in Europe and the USA.
Dracula was the name given to the Villain and the title of the Romanticist Gothic novel he had published in 1896.

Right then. Nosferatu is actually like Belgian for "Blood Sucker" or something. He was used in a 1930's Black and White film called "Nosferatu".
Like the one guy said vampires are the race of blood suckers.
Dracula was at one point real. He was a Romania Prince who killed thousands of people and drank their blood. His name was Lord Vlad Dracula. Then, Hollywood acted upon that man's death and made him a horror fiction character.
