The story goes that in the Monty Python series, there was a sketch in a restaurant where every entry on the menu had spam. When the internet geeks tried to describe something that was not wanted but was offered regardless of the recipients protests, thoughts turned to the Monty Python sketch and spam. Thus was born the concept of internet spam.
