Atheist Living in Lebanon ... ? Any experience to share ?

There is no reason why an atheist cannot live in Lebanon. The communist part thrives in Lebanon and for the most part it's members do not believe in God or religion.

Is there a reason for an atheist to live in Lebanon? I guess the same reasons as anyone else: good food, weather and lots of fun!

Is there anybody to influence you... No, nobody really bothers these days unless you go asking for it by mixing with such crowds.

The theory of evolution IS taught at most schools and is accepted as such that God created everything, including evolution.

Atheists In Lebanon

Atheists can live freely in lebanon as long as they don't insult people because they believe in god, same for religous people. Evolution in our country is taugh in scools, homosexuality is not classified as a mental disease and they even have very few anti-discrimination laws. We are considered pretty open minded compared to other arab states

LOL Lebanon is not that religious. There is prostitution, alcohol, drugs, prostitution, night clubs, bars, dating, premarital sex, gays, transvestites, etc.

Lebanon Atheists have a reason to live there, they were BORN THERE!

Yeah people from those religions turn you off LOL, seeing them go pray at the masjid, then go and beat there wife and then go to gay bars. You see the hypocrasy pretty fast.

Evolution was taught in my class but so was creationism.

Open people in our society won't matter if you're an atheist or a buddhist or anything else. You are free to believe in whatever you want. Our society is becoming less and less traditional. Don't worry about it, I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay :)

I had no damaging reviews with faith. Why am I an atheist then? because of the fact not one of the god-myths so a procedures invented look in any way achieveable. who's blaming a sufferer, and who precisely is the sufferer? in case you think of faith is the sufferer, then ... "LOL".. this is all.

Hi am Agnostic and i find atheist rude especially to religious people.

As an Agnostic i don't know if God or Allah really exist or no but am proud of faithful people.

But i see Atheist mocking God and calling him bad names, this is so offensive especially to people who consider God the creator of this world and more precious than their own souls.

However there are decent atheists who live peacefully in lebanon, trust me there are many Atheists in Lebanon and the Arab World but sometimes they hide their Identity so they wont face trouble.

However Lebanon is secular nation and accepts anyone, but make sure u do ur part and respect others beliefs.

And as u said the Big-Bang or Evolution theory by Charles Darwin is Just a Theory and till now it's not a prove fact.
