How do people have 30% and even higher of best answers?

Cabana Girl knows the secret - you gotta work the system. Find a category you are good at answering, then go to the last pages of the open questions (who the heck is gonna be looking on page 15 when they can look at page 1 and 2?). Answer them, especially the ones without any answers. Mark them to go on your private watchlist, then go in and vote for yourself as they go into voting. Ask a friend to vote for you on those you need help with. As they are resolved (and you rack up the best answers!), take them off your watchlist. The watchlist is an easy way to track which questions are open and need votes to get the best answer. I have better than 50% on my alter ego, and am working towards a 70-80% (coming soon, I hope - this is like my new video game, tee hee!). I think the secret is to NOT answer many questions. I started off with a great % rate but the number kept dropping and dropping. Especially when the questions are ones that a lot of people give answers to... like the radio trivia questions. Also, polls and just silly stuff. Although they are a lot of fun to answer, the odds of you getting a best answer out of it is slim to none. The most you'll probably end up with is the 2 points for giving an answer. And here I am ... not following my own advice! LOL

There is no secret, maybe they are just good at answering.

I just started about last month with over 200 questions answered and my percentage is 13% and I think it looks like it is going to stabilize around there.

But if you want me to speculate on the many ways to increase your percentage, here goes:

Have a friend or two go to all your answers and just give it a thumbs up! Your percentage is going to rocket out of this world.

I actually saw somebody with a very high best answers percentage in the religious area and I was impressed. I looked at their profile to check out how they answered questions. Lo and behold, it is hidden. I couldn't check the caliber of their response.

Anyway, I don't think it is that important. Just enjoy reading the questions and answering because you believe you can help!
