do i need eircom to give me a home phone number?
I have moved in to new house and want a home phone number for broadband connection, the lines have never been used, if at all possible i would like to use a different provider because i hate using eircom there customer sevice is useless

Here's a list of all of the companies authorised to provide land line service in Ireland. Pick one that isn't Eircom that serves your area.

You don't say where you are so it's impossible for us to know what other providers are available.
