Serena called her game against Zakopalova “horrendous” and “I just played junior tennis—or even worst."?
Why can't she just admit that at many times she played her best and at least give some credit to her opponents whenever she struggles or loses the match? I think the attitude and grace are more admirable than just winning. Some thoughts please . . .

It isnt thast she doesnt give credit, when credit is do, cause she most certainly has in the past. However, as usual, Serena is very hard on herself, as always. She wants to play at her best at all times, but not going to happen, not when not 100% healthy. On that note, she played well despite struggling, meaning at leasts he was moving, where her movement due to her leg/thigh has been an issue for weeks and weeks. Her opponent slapped balls hard and deep, but was great seeing Serena moving, making attempts at retrieving them. She most likely wont win, but nice to see her trying. She more so criticizes her play rather then speak of her opponents play, when playing awfully. Again though, many are too hard on her thinking she doesnt speak in a positive light regarding her opponent(s) and need to listen closer.

In her after-match interview with Pam Shriver, Serena admitted her playing wasn't very good and she did give Zakopalova credit for taking advantage of her poor play. But Serena also pointed out that Zakopalova made some mistakes to and Serena said she's glad she could take advantage and win the match but that she still was disappointed with how she played. If Serena said all these things you've just quoted than you've already answered your own question.

OMG...
When Serena says I'M THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD---- All of u hv problems...
When Serena says She played “horrendous” and “ just played junior tennis....then also u hv problems....
& for ur kind info SHE HAS CREDITED Zakopalova FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HER FAULTS....
& most of all I admit that Zakopalova was good in the match bt at the end of the match SERENA won & the set she lost was becoz of her own fault & not Zakopalova's fantastic game.
GOD MAN IF U DON'T LIKE SERENA FINE.....BT AT LEAST DON'T CRITICIZE HER ON EVERYTHING.

Well, at least this time she's acknowledging that it's her fault. I loved her given reason for Henin beating her- "lucky shots." Um... no, Serena, those are called winners.
I can't stand Serena- I agree. She should learn from her sister and develop some grace.

If she in fact said "worst", then you have your answer. Spoken in context of course.
