southwest striped bass question?

i am originally from the southeast and used to fishing for largemouth in cover (aquatic grasses, flooded trees, and sunken logs).whats the best bait/presentation for striped bass in the southwest in the summer (lake mead)? a month ago i was wading out about waist deep and casting out about 75 yards with frozen anchovies, are they done spawning, are they deeper now?

    Not neccesarily. Try worms (blood or pile/sandworms). Also, if you can get a hold of some shrimp, (gras or sand) that will work for you too.
