Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla Firefox is by far the safest, it includes many built in security add-ons and often warns you if you are about to enter a potentially dangerous website.
Internet Explorer has been proven time and again to be the least safe, and the other browsers, although better than IE, are not as good as Firefox.

Safari and Internet Explorer are the safest because they have safety settings and filters and will tell you if you are on something that may be harmful to your computer. Also, Safari is the fastest web browser, this has been proved! And if you want it to be safe buy Webroot Internet Security Essentials, I have there antivirus program and it is awesome (It catches EVERYTHING).

Mozilla Firefox is the best browser and Opera too. Firefox can be used for surfing as well as downloading. But Opera is only for Downloading.

None of them are completely safe but any one other than IE should suit you. IE is not bad, its problem is that it is the largest platform and thus the most targeted. Others are less popular so many hackers don't want to waste their time on an internet platform that is not widespread. Why go after 40,000 people when you can bring 600,00 home users, most governments at all levels, and nearly every advanced company in the world to its knees? I personally use Safari.

I use Google CHROME version 1.0.154.65 currently. Since Firefox "blew it" last year with an update that gave me a weeks worth of troubleshooting headaches (mem leaks, and more), I've switched myself & two Network clients to Google. It seems to the users to be a bit faster & no security (or other) issues have arisen. There is one exception: it seems to be incompatible with "Hotmail and Live dot com". (nobody working on the Networks needs to go there while working, so who cares) I just use another browser if I "must" go to those sites.
Check out the links below for what is being said and done about CHROME.

I suggest you also check out the additional "suggested" searches at bottom of the Google Search pages, to see if any other info interests you. See the differences when you read up on some of the comments & reviews! (but I'm prejudiced, slow to forgive the Ff headaches from last year!)
