Has anyone been zipgliding?
Im going on vacation this Friday and my friend wants to go zipgliding. Ive seen people do it on the Travel Channel and it looks fun but scary. Any thoughts?? Thanks!!

Indeed it is fun and a bit scary. I've been on three zip line experiences: Roatan, Belize, and ... I don't remember.
Each experience is a series of zip lines: for example, Roatan has 20 segments starting at the top of the island. The last segment ends on the beach, so you actually zip from top to bottom, with 19 short walks between stations. After the third or fourth segment, I stopped thinking about what could go wrong and had a ton of fun. There's opportunity to test that the harness and equipment works before risking yourself—at least until you've left the platform. After the first (short) segment is a "chicken escape" in case you decide you don't want to continue.
I just wish I had a helmet cam to record it...

dude i need to know if they hook you up to a line with a harness and you just go down to the other end?becuz if thats it its called ziplining
and it is totally freakin fun
