Will I be able to use an unlocked Palm Pre for Tmobile?
I know its not out yet, but i know unlocked versions will be for sale (i know they will be expensive too...!) could I use it for Tmobile, or will i have to have a GSM phone?

Nope sorry... First of all, unlocked Palm Pre's have not been announced but it will be sold at Best Buy for $849.99 which is extremely expensive. You can then bring it to T-Mobile and they MIGHT activate it for you.
But the chances it will be with T-Mobile is very unlikely. T-Mobile doesn't usually get many advanced phones and Palm is on a contract with Sprint so they can't sell the Pre to any other carriers until 2010. When 2010 comes, Palm would want to let a big company sell the Pre (probably Verizon Wireless). So the Pre is probably not coming to T-Mobile any time soon
