well as you are asking this question i'd say for certain that number is not right. the whole point of putting the right age in is so the test can calculate your answers in comparison to other answers and expected cognitive skills of someone that age.... i.e if i took an i.q test now an said i was 4 then id have an i.q of 1000 lol so basically 144 is just a number and means nothing until you put your real age in

What is the point of putting in the wrong age? This will make your iq inaccurate. 144 will be higher than it actually is. The younger you are, the higher score you get. It is more likely to be about 130, depending on how much younger you did it but you should do it again with your actual age.

This is how the IQ score goes:

Over 140 - Genius or near genius

    120 - 140 - Very superior intelligence

    110 - 119 - Superior intelligence

    90 - 109 - Normal or average intelligence

    80 - 89 - Dullness

    70 - 79 - Borderline deficiency

    Under 70 - Definite feeble-mindedness

The properties of the normal distribution apply to IQ scores:

50% of IQ scores fall between 90 and 110

70% of IQ scores fall between 85 and 115

95% of IQ scores fall between 70 and 130

99.5% of IQ scores fall between 60 and 140

    Low IQ & Mental Retardation

5% of people have an IQ under 70 and this is generally considered as the benchmark for "mental retardation", a condition of limited mental ability in that it produces difficulty in adapting to the demands of life.

Severity of mental retardation can be broken into 4 levels:

    50-70 - Mild mental retardation (85%)

    35-50 - Moderate mental retardation (10%)

    20-35 - Severe mental retardation (4%)

    IQ < 20 - Profound mental retardation (1%)

    High IQ & Genius IQ

Genius IQ is generally considered to begin around 140 to 145, representing ~.25% of the population (1 in 400). Here's a rough guide:

    115-124 - Above average (e.g., university students)

    125-134 - Gifted (e.g., post-graduate students)

    135-144 - Highly gifted (e.g., intellectuals)

    145-154 - Genius (e.g., professors)

    155-164 - Genius (e.g., Nobel Prize winners)

    165-179 - High genius

    180-200 - Highest genius

    >200 - "Unmeasurable genius"

    Hope this helps :)

IQ score is adjusted according to age. So if you lied about your age, the score is useless to you.

An IQ of 144 is in the genius level. Don't trust most on-line IQ tests. They are just marketing gimmick to lure you to buy something from them.

If you really believe you have a 144 IQ, you should visit your local Menza society and take a unbiased test there.

Age has nothing to do with your IQ

You could be 5 yrs old and have an IQ of 157

Or you could be 53 years old and have an IQ of 83

your IQ does NOT tell you how "smart" you are - it tells you your aptitude for learning and retaining information.

Chances are, if the IQ test you took asked your age, it wasn't a certified test.

if you took it on some website - I wouldnt judge it as an accurate score in the least.

If you really have an IQ above 135 you would be considered gifted. You would be bored in class and getting A's.

for a proper score, you need to retake and put in your correct age. however; that being said.. if with your proper age you get a 144 thats great.

How did you get "144 and above" in one test?

confident you're sooooo precise! I did at one time some years in the past.. i don't bear in mind what they reported. Even then I held no inventory in those the two. I do undergo in innovations having a 'communicate' with the instructor administering reported 'attempt.' and that i wound up being put in the 'honours' software in college. laugh!

Putting an age younger than you are throws off your score. That number means nothing.
