Why do videos play so slowly on my computer?

I have been on older computers with a slower internet connection that can play videos better than this one. It works with most things, but even if I let the video load it's choppy and has to stop and reload a lot. Is there any way I can fix this because it's really annoying and I like to watch tv shows and music videos online.

thanks.

There are a few things to take into consideration with this one. It could be an excess of processor-hogging background applications, a low amount of RAM, or that your video card isn't getting enough juice from your power supply. The latter two don't seem like a problem, so just close out of any unnecessary background applications before playing video.

in the adventure that your CPU is going finished throttle, then you definately've an extremely sluggish processor you ought to get a minimum of Intel Pentium a million or extra appropriate I even have Intel Celeron M (quite sluggish to me...) and it is going as much as 80% while your CPU (swifter than yours) is low and the video nevertheless lags, then it ought to be the photographs card or the internet velocity get nVidia once you're kinda wealthy and you play video games and/or get a severe velocity internet :)
