definitley Marcaro. But it should be something slow and painful yet completely ironic. Like drowning in alchohol or something like that. He should go because he is an alchoholic. Have you ever heard of drunk driving.

If not him make it pheonix. But make it so that Morgin had the chance to save her but couldn't make it in time(or something like that) So he starts feeling all depressed. Or vice-versa (kill of Morgin instead)...This idea just makes for a better storyline

Well, past experience has shown that people respond when you take out the comic relief (like Harry Potter, for instance). So in that area, Marcaro would be the ideal choice.

However, if your reader thinks in the same way I do, they'll be pretty mad if you kill off the funny side of your story. Then what's left is a determined girl and a lovestruck boy, and that's not as interesting as when the comic relief was lightening the mood.

You could have the girl, Phoenix, fall for Marcaro because of his wit and charm, and Morgrin finds out and steps back (because he seems like the kind of guy to make sure she's happy, even if it's not with him). Then, maybe some life-threatening situation occurs, and he jumps in to save Phoenix and dies in the process. That way Phoenix doesn't have to get terribly torn up about his death (as she would if she loved him back), but he'll always have a special place in her heart because of his valiant efforts.

Then she can live happily ever after with Marcaro, which opens up plenty of opportunities for comic relief after the death of a character (hopefully it's done tastefully, though).

Phoenix and Marcaro hook up... he doesn't care at all, she's having fun, Morgan is in he background getting hurt

I think Pheonix because if she never backs down, someone can attack her and end up killing her. sad but.... you know. just an idea. or Marcaro because as a goofy guy, you wouldn't expect him to die.
