Physics problem, assuming the force between two spheres...?

assuming the force between two spheres is 64 N, what will be the magnitude of the force if the distance is

(a) doubled?

(b) tripled?

    what is the source of the force? A spring ? Electrical charges? Gravity?

    Something is definitely WRONG. Here is why: You ask a question "How far will the penny fall away from the point of contact of the sphere and the platform?". Next you say: "According to my professor, the formula is V^2= rgcos(theta)" This is the formula for what??? Definitely NOT the formula for the distance, and this is NOT the formula for the speed of the penny when it leaves the sphere. Double check the problem and re post. PS The penny will leave the surface of the sphere at the angle theta = arc cos (2/3)
