How can I get a quick count of my anchor points in Adobe Illustrator CS3?

I haven't used this app in about a year now, and can't seem to remember how to accomplish this. Actually not sure I ever even needed to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

Its is in fact important. You obviously have no experience working with screen printers. I need to keep the count under 3000. My design is complex. Trying to get a quick count. Can anyone please be a bit more helpful than this guy?

Update 2:

Thanks a lot Tim!

That is exactly what I needed. :)

Why would you need to know how many anchor points there are?

    Its not at all important.

    To Ranten:

You do not answer with a question of your own. it is very important if a person would like to sell his artwork through Turbosquid or others where number of anchor points (Vertices) are required.

So the Best Answer will be Go to Click CTRL+A to select all, then on the menu click Object-->Path-->Simplify, click preview and see original Pts. (don't forget to click cancel if you don't want the command to alter your creation :) )

Select all then go Object>Path>Simplify, click the preview this should show how many points you have (if it doesn't you might have to change one of the figures) do not click apply because it will change your design.

Double-click the layer and the preferences box will open. You can change the color there.
