What is PvP Gear in World of Warcraft?

PvP(Player vs Player) gear is obtained by participating in Bgs(Battle Grounds) such as Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley, Eye of the Storm, Strand of the Ancient, or Wintergrasp. You recieve honor doing this which you can trade in for the pvp gear in either Stomrwind for Alliance or Orgrimmar for Horde. PvP gear is used in pvp because it gives you resilience which reduces chance to be crit by another player and reduces the damage of mana drains and reduces the damage of crits.

PVP gear is Player Versus Player Gear. You can earn "Honor Points" for entering Battlegrounds. To enter a battle ground, simply hit H on your keyboard and use the tab for BGs to select which BG you would like to enter. There is also a world BG called Wintergrasp in the heart of Northrend. This occurs on 2 1/2 hour cycles on the completion of the previous Wintergrasp BG.

The Honor Points you recieve for killing players of the opposing faction, or for certain actions such as capturing a flag, defending a base, etc. can be used in SI:1 of Old Town in Stormwind for Alliance Characters or in Ogrimir for Horde toons.

This gear has a stat called Resilience on it. This gear also typically has major stamina on it, but reduces the amount of other base stats. The intent is to PVP toons with high hit points, and resilience, which is your ability to avoid damage from other PVP players.

This gear can help you get into Heroics if you have a few pieces but fully geared, you would surely see a lack of DPS. PVE gear is intended for dungeons, raiding, farming, etc. While PVP gear will benifit you most in PVP BG's.

PVP ( Player Versus Player) is very popular in world of warcraft since i am not a huge fan of WOTLK i quit but i know that you need to participate in Alterac Valley, wintergrasp etc all PVP places to get honor and marks, from there you can purchase gear for honor and marks, There is vendor in Wintergrasp but you have to have control of the Castle, and you can also buy in Stormwind for Alliance and Orgrimmar for Horde, there you can buy some very nice gear but its not as great as PVE gear. Resilience (Normally over 500)

Stamina (Atleast 20,000 health)

Ok pvp gear is player verse player gear. you can obtain it from wintergrasp, battlegrounds, Badges from raids/heroics, and arena. It is good for pvp NOT for pve. I play a hunter to for pve gear dont use pvp for pve. try and use gear with mostly agilitty,ap,hit rating, and some other sats if it has resilence dont use it for heroics/raids!!!!

It honestly doesn't matter, like the transition from pre-bc -> TBC, gear from pre-bc got QUICKLY replaced within the first few levels (though, full t3 lasts you until about 67ish). After WotLK is released, pretty much everything you have will be replaced with Northrend greens, so might as well just spend the points now rather than saving it for when WotLK coming out, and having it replaced by that level 81 green you found off of that random mob.

It is gear earned from PvP, such as battlegrounds. It reqires honor.

PvP gear are mostly stuff with resilience, stuff that u use while in pvp to reduce your dmg

it means gear for pvp, also it is usually earned from playing in pvp, ie the warlords gear for the horde et cetera.

PvP gear is gear that you buy with bgs marks.
