What is the U.N going to do about N Korea?

Nothing. Did they stop Iraq war?

The worst the U.N. will do a set a trade embargo in place, the US dictates ALOT of what the U.N. does.

What they usually do, throw some sanctions that only harm the people of N.Korea and do squat to the dictator and the military. Kim Jong Il is a crazy man with nuclear capability and that makes him one of the most dangerous on the planet right now.

As a practical matter it is up to China.

Only they have real influence over NK.

the rest of us should ignore them or actually try to engage in diplomacy and dialogue.

If N K wants to commit nuclear suicide they can.

then we can change to world maps to read "Island of South Korea", a land just south of the radio-active sea.

the UN isn't any better than the League of Nations, look at how they let Japan invade China, Hitler terrorise Jews and Stalin terrorise his people. They will let N Korea bomb us all!

The U.N is the most obsolete International Organization ever.

I think they should just leave them alone...if anything, they're just testing everybody to create a conflict, however, if they release something potentially harmful, then we should interfere..but only if they knew for sure...remember the WMDs? They didn't even exist.

When does the UN ever do anything? All they do is try to talk it out, sometimes you got to get gritty, but I doubt if they ever do.

I have to agree with PureDelight and Stanley on this one...they do nothing.

Same thing the UN does about everything else....nothing.
