An awkward situation has come up. Help me!?!?

Well, there is a guy on facebook that I barely know. I'm pretty sure I've talked to him twice in real life. But he constantly likes and comments on my statuses... So I was playing around with the honesty box and realized that he had posted a question "Would you date me?" So I responded (anonymously), saying 'Well I would date you I'm just not sure you would date me' and he said 'What makes you say that?' and I said 'Well, we really don't know each other and I'm not sure if I have the courage to tell you my name'. Then a couple of days later my friend convinced me to I tell him who I was. Basically pouring my heart out (not really) but I did say I worked up enough courage to tell you, I then said my name and said I would like to get to know him better. He responded with 'Sounds like a plan' he didn't even have any punctuation at the end... Which is really weird for him, he is obsessed with grammar and english. So, I can't respond... He is now scared of me and I'm not sure what to do with this situation.

Can anyone help me? I really liked him are my chances over?
