Why is it against the law to take your own life?
Why can't we just end our life when we feel that we have outlived our purpose in life. Like we feel that it is meaningless to continue to exist in this world anymore.

It is illegal to attempt suicide because when you commit suicide, all this debt you may have or all these 'questionable' papers pop up, and then your family has a financial burden to deal with. :/
Sadly if you do commit suicide and your successful, you can't be punished.
If you attempt it and fail, you are taken to a mental facility and slapped with fines.

It's against the law so that the police can legally intervene with suicide threats. However, police who witness attemptors of suicide don't get them into any legal trouble. They send them to a mental hospital instead.
