I need help cooking chicken and dumplings?

Everytime I cook chicken and dumplings, when I add the dumplings to the broth it boils over before I can even get the heat turned down. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep it from boiling over?

There would only be a couple of ways. Just have the heat lower to begin with, then add the dumplings and then slap on a lid. I love chicken and dumplings. Now you have made me hungry for them.

Either less broth lower heat or stick a spoon in at the same time you drop dumplings in .

If you have a lid on them, move the lid over to the side a little so that they won't boil over. It happens to me a lot if I forget to open the lid a little. Try it.
