Sunfish Pet....................?
Hey guys...and ladies(LOL).
anyways...i was wondering how do u keep a sporting fish like the FRESHWATER sunfish alive when you put it into your aquarium?
i tried it with one sunfish and it died. and yes i got the water from the SINK..BUT i did put aquasafe in the water to make it safe, BUT AGAIN like 20 mins later the fish died?
i have 3 more sunfish that i wanna keep as pets, tips on how?
and wat temp. do they live in?

You'd need a large tank and use water from where you caught the fish.
A filter is needed as is keeping the water cool so inground ponds are best.
It's actually illegal to move sport (and non-native) fish from one body of water to another and to keep them in captivity without a permit. The fear is that if they get dumped inot a body of wate where they aren't already, they might take over (impact other species who aren't adapted to being ate by them or they compete for food, shelter etc. or introduce disease.
Many non-natives have spread this way. Pumpkinseed sunfish are one.

Well yeah you could, but i presume you didn't cycle ur tank. O-o Go to google and see what cycling is. Anywayz yes u can. I have a few siners, sunfish and other sporting fish in my tank. They have been in there for many months =D
