how far in advance is a catholic confirmation set as far as date and time?
my ex husband told me he was keeping my son from Monday to Sunday, but then called Sat. and said he had to drop him off cause he had a confirmation Sunday......now how far in advance would he have known this or would he have been able to set that up this week? also how come kids aren't allowed my sons 12

I have no idea how far in advance your ex might have known. Maybe he was invited at the last minute?
Kids are allowed at confirmation. Even 12 year olds. Where I live, kids are confirmed at the ages of 10 or 11.
