Fantasy Baseball Advice?

Should i trade Webb for Edwin Jackson and Lowe? My pitching is pretty terrible behind Webb. I have liriano, chamberlian, valverde, sheilds, price and wang.

You should absolutely take this trade for the reasons another poster mentioned: You're getting two pitchers having great years for one who is a top-tier pitcher, but who is an unknown quantity that isn't contributing to your bottom line at this point.

BTW, Let's talk about your current rotation:

    - Yeah, I'm sorry - I got stuck with Liriano too. It's hard to give up on him; I saw him pitch in AAA in Rochester after he had Tommy John surgery, and figured he'd be dominant for a decade. I don't think last year was a fluke, because Liriano doesn't have awful stuff, but his control just isn't there.

    - If you looked at the postgame show that Girardi does on the Yankees network, he sounds like he thinks very highly of Phil Hughes, and Pettitte still looks like he'll be able to start next week. Wang doesn't have a rotation spot now, but the way he pitched today, it looks like he's better and better. Drop Liriano over him. Joba isn't being demoted anytime soon, barring injury (or pitching like Liriano).

Good pickup on Price, we all know he's a gem. Shields looked like he was settling in for the season last time I checked earlier this week.

I think it might be time to dump Liriano, out of your rotation, especially getting two pitchers in that trade. I doubt anyone else would snap him up because he's fantasy cancer right now, and if he has one great start, you can always grab him before someone else. 'Til then, if you even need another SP since you're getting two, find one who will contribute most to your weakest pitching stat each week.

Sure make that deal. Jackson and Lowe combined will have 4-5 more starts each before Webb is even available. Webb isn't going to make up those stats. Wang is still trying to get out of a rotten start. Liriano just sucks right now. You actually need the pitching and you need it now. Take that deal.

you have to do it. i have webb in like 4 leagues and he is pissing me off cuz they put him on the 15 day DL in april and he's coming back late june. its obvious you cant take any more of a beating from your pitchers so it makes sense to do this trade. both picthers are studs and i dont see them falling off the map any time soon. webb's injury is very serious so i would be worried about him after he comes back. there is a high risk with webb. lowe is a beast in the NL and should continue to put up solid numbers.

    Yes do it.

We don't know when webb will be back, and when he returns we have no idea what condition he will be in and how well he will be throwing.

Lowe is a top 25 pitcher and Jackson is looking very good.

Josh outman has been hot as of late watch him for a little then pick him up if you want. And yeah Jackson is having a great season. Another superb start today.

Make this trade. Its the only way to save your pitching. Try picking up matt palmer, scott richmond, or jason marquis. They are hot right now.
