I have long nails and have to do wheel throwing or pottery. Do i have to clip it off? Can i just wear gloves?

You don't HAVE to clip your nails but it might be a little more difficult to work with the clay. You'll probably get nicks in your pots but you can fix them. It'll just take more work.
If you're wheel throwing the clay might wear down at your nails depending on how much grain is in the clay, but it shouldn't cause too much turmoil. I'm sure if you really want your long nails and pottery it'll be fine.

Of course ya clip it. Or drop the wheel throwing pottery class.
If you wear gloves, you can't grip things as well as you would with just skin. Like you can't feel what you're doing as well with gloves on

short neat nails are nice and neat. I dont like long nails because dirt can get under them and it look nasty
its digusting and gross when somebodys nails are all chewed up to the end.
