Any Filling Breakfast Ideas?

I'm new to the vegetarian diet. To start off, I guess I am what you call a Lacto-ovo vegetarian (I still drink milk but am considering switching to soy soon).

What protein filling breakfast meals do you eat? I'm just looking for ideas because I am getting tired of just eating shredded wheat with fruit.

Thanks

These are my most common favorite breakfasts:

plain yogurt with walnuts and frozen blueberries or other fruit and a bit of agave nectar

smoothie with frozen blueberries, handful of fresh spinach, protein powder, ground flax

    eggs with spinach and toast

pancakes or waffles with syrup or fruit compote or sliced bananas and walnuts

slice of homemade banana nut or pumpkin nut bread

leftover lentil soup(incredibly satisfying for breakfast!)

baked beans and toast(was surprised and happy to see someone else say this!)

oatmeal made with vanilla, walnuts and chopped dates or raspberries

Breakfast Fried Potato Patties INGREDIENTS: 8 potatoes, boiled and mashed 1 cup flour Egg replacer for 1 1/2 eggs salt to taste oil for frying PREPARATION: Mix the potatoes, flour, egg replacer and salt. Turn the mixture onto a floured bread board or countertop and knead into a dough, adding more flour if necessary until the dough is no longer sticky. Roll the dough out to a 3/4 inch thickness, then cut into rounds (a drinking glass works well for this). Lightly oil a frying pan or griddle and fry the rounds until browned on both sides, about 10 minutes. Serve with Applesauce. Easy Breakfast Burrito Recipe INGREDIENTS: 2 potatoes, chopped 1/2 onion, diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tbsp olive oil 1 cup vegetarian beef substitue (try Soyrizo) salt and pepper to taste grated cheese (optional) flour tortillas, warmed PREPARATION: Sautee the potatoes, onions and garlis in the oil over medium heat until potatoes are almost soft. Add the beef substitute, salt and pepper and continue cooking until potatoes are tender and the beef substitute is heated through. Place about 1/3 cup of the potato and mock meat mixture on a warmed flour tortilla. Top with cheese if desired and wrap up. Serve with sour cream.

Have a protien drink every morning, they will give you lots of energy to do and be busy, and also have tons of protien.

Oatmeal is the first thing that comes to mind when I think filling though.

You can cook Quinoa and treat it as if it were oatmeal. Quinoa is a grain with full protiens in it.

=30g of protein about 60% of your daily needs depending on your size.

0.75g of protein times your bodyweight = your daily needs.

Vegan pancakes about 250g of pancakes = 25-30g of protein
