what is the molarity of a solution in which 58 g of NaCl are dissolved in 1.0 l of solution?

    Molarity tells you the number of moles of a solute in a given volume of solution.

    NaCl has a molecular weight of 58.5 g/mol

    58 g / 58.5 g/mol = 0.99 moles of NaCl

    Molarity = 0.99 moles / 1.0 L = 0.99 M
