BMW sport or no sport?
Should I get a 328i with a sport package or just a 328i? Which is a better drive

The 328i sport package adds: sport suspension, 1" larger diameter wheels, performance (3 season) tires, shadowline trim, sport seats, sport steering wheel, when the automatic is ordered you must also get the paddle shifters. It's a great package, the ride is firm, but not too much so, it sticks like no other sedan in its range. The tires are the only issue people run into, they wear quickly and are susceptible to road hazards.
I prefer the sport package in any BMW, it looks better because of the wheels, tires, and trim, the seats are very supportive, and the handling is more than impressive. I would definitely get the sport package.
And Martin is right, there are no programming or drivetrain changes at all. The engine and tranny will work the same.

Definitely get sport package, you will not regret it.
In terms of ride quality, nonsport may be more comfortable, but not by much. It's worth the extra price for spring/shock combos, sport steering wheel, paddles, sport seats, and different rims.
In terms of performance, the sport package is a necessity. I have an 06 325i non-sport, and while it performs well in handling, etc, I wish I could have the sport seats and all the other stuff that comes in the sport package

The sport package is strictly suspension, wheels/tyres and trim (including steering wheel and seats). If you prefer a car with slightly better handling, and the expense of a stiffer ride, and you find the seats comfortable, then get the sport package. If those things are not important to you, then save your money.
And there's no difference in the engine or transmission, programming or otherwise, between cars with or without the sport package option.

sport package, you get the great sport tuned suspension. But its not really needed really, you get the sport seats, and the rims, as well as a different steering wheel. Either way the car looks good, but the drive without the sport is a bit more stiff in my opinion. The seats are both real comfortable, with or without sport package, rims can be replaced easily, the sport steering wheels a bit thicker.

The sports package makes it perform better, but isn't as smooth a ride if you have a automatic because it shifts at higher RPM's. Do you need the sports package on a BMW? Well let me put it this way, does Batman need a gun?

The sport package makes my 2005 330ci handle like a champ. Passengers in the rear don't like the ride. So don't pick up any hitchhikers.

Get the sport i mean it will ride it bit ruffer but it comes with nicer wheels suspension trim and they also have a better torque converter and will have a better resale value
