Do you think there should be an option to give the asker a thumbs down?

If you are like not in the mood to type out your condemnation to the asker then shouldn't there be a way to show it? Like you can star a question without answering it, should there be something like anti-stars ! ?

Although I understand your point, I don't think thumbs down should be available at all. Y!A should be a positive place with thumbs up or nothing. There used to be that option to give thumbs down to a question, and I'm glad they got rid of it. Nothing is worse than to see a smart question or intelligent answer and people giving it a thumbs down for no good reason.

No, you can always not answer. You can report it. If you like the Q can always star it. You could even run through all the answers like a troll and mark them all thumbs down and/or report them.

There is enough negativity in the world lets just leave it the way it is shall we?!

I think it would just be another opportunity for you to have less fun by wasting just a little more time on negative thoughts that do you no good.

Yeah I often think that when I see a really pathetic question.

I use the novel method of just ignoring the question...

There was that option an year or so ago. But, Y!A removed that option.
