Redox Stoichiometry...please help!?
This redox reaction occurs under acidic conditions
10HCl +3H2S+2Na2CrO4 --> 2CRCl3 +3S + 8H2O + 4NaCl
If 14.45g of H2S and 28.99 grams of Na2CrO4 are allowed to react, how many grams of sulfur are produced?
If someone could even just give me a hint, please!
Ok so i found the limiting reagent which is Na2CrO4 = .1790 mol
Then how do you find grams of sulfur produced? times it by 3?

It is based on limiting reagent and excess reagent...find out the limiting reagent and compare it to the mass of sulphur.

Redox reaction happens while there's a transformation in can charge of atoms For a, For the reactant: Zn can charge is 0 (while its ust on my own by way of its self .. for example M which has a can charge is 0 or M2 which additionally has a can charge is 0) Cu can charge is two+ For the product: Zn can charge is two+ Cu can charge is 0 which potential there's a transformation in can charge. For the reaction in a, Zn will loose 2 electrons to style the Zn2+ ; and Cu2+ will benefit 2 electrons to style the Cu. So, it is the redox reaction. For the respond b, For the reactant, MgO ; as all of us understand, O consistently has a can charge is (-2); so Mg has a harge is two+ H has a can charge is +a million For the product: Mg has a can charge is two+ and H has a can charge is a million+ So, there isn't any replace in can charge. All atoms nevertheless shop the comparable can charge; Mg nevertheless has 2+ and H additionally has a million + in the two area of the reaction; and O nevertheless has the can charge is -2. hence it truly is not the redox reaction. So, those are 2 examples to instruct you which of them one is the redox reaction. wish this could assist you

First, figure out how many moles of each reactant you have, assuming an unlimited/excess amount of HCl. The balanced chemical equation gives the mole ratios of reactants to products, so use those to figure out which reactant is the limiting one (which one would produce the least product). Then, convert the answer from moles to grams.
