When someone insults you, generally whats your first reaction?

Tell them to kiss my @ss.

First I consider the source, normally someone who is very insecure. Then I hit them with an insult right back, Usally a better one that burns them.

I consider the source of the insult.

If it's somebody that I don't have any feelings for one way or the other, then I'll ignore it.

If it's somebody that I don't particularly like, then they get the insult back plus a whole lot more!

generally your first reaction should be a surge of mixed emotions....then most people will insult back...or cower in fear and give in to the insult.....you should just be like "im not going to take your insults, im done." and then just walk away

If it's a man I make sure he understands and if he here's me he is my brother.if he doesn't,whether I can kick his a.s.s or not we will find out.

If it is the girl I live with right now I try to express how I feel and attempt to talk it out.But if she is not willing, I don't say a word to her unless I absolutely have to for the last three months and will leave soon.

Anger, to be honest, then I realize I can't do anything about it--I am not going to hit them or insult them back, I just walk away and freeze them out of my life forever. Total silence forever.

it all depends on the situation, is it a guy I do not know or a guy I do know, is is a girl and so forth

but usually I stop dead in my tracks turn look them straight in the eyes

and give tiny kind of dirty smile

and ask do you really want to get into this..and they usually think i am nuts and leave saying all kinds of stupid stuff

Surprise and then i'll probably walk out of there. I'm not very good at talking back or insulting back. Pathetic...i know...

Get deffensive and hurl back an insult,

second is thinking that they have a prob. nebach! that they need to put others down to feel good about themselves!
