Made some Scottish Haddock fishcakes earlier but at a loss what to have to accompany them... Any suggestions welcome!

I suppose fishcakes are good with a potato of some sort. I don't really eat fish, but I've always only seen a fish entree with fries. Maybe try some steamed veggies to go with it.

Try some steamed broccoli or sauteed spinach with some rice. Including a brightly colored vegetable and a starch is always a smart move when it comes to side dishes.
And of course, make a salad.

Mashed potatoes and peas! Also, sweet chilli dipping sauce is really tasty with haddock fish cakes :)

You could maybe have Jacked Potatoes with them? That's what I'm having for my dinner- perfect for this kind of weather/evening :)

well its only noon here and super hot! we are gonna have turkey subs and fruit. id say add potatoes maybe and a veggie
