A 1999 Dodge Intrepid needs more speed!?

I have a 1999 Dodge Intrepid and would like to have more speed so when i pass people i can actually get around them easily including the jerks who speed up, but does anyone know anything that i can do to help?

I am not going to add a turbo because I heard that Intrepid cant handle turbos.

Also my car is a V6 and a 2.7 liter, thank you guys!

there not a lot of upgrades for the 2.7 engine unfortunately, but you can add good cold air system to it and help it some and adding a programmer to it will help it a lot,but they cost a lot of money, the 2.7 was way under powered for those cars, here a web site with some performance parts for that ,and it might help you some, good luck. http://autopartswarehouse.com/

try jegs.com for performance parts a super chip may cost 400$ but you can get rid of your speed limeter raise your rpm limit and in turn give your car more horse power giving u more speed.

cold air intake mild camshafts and a stainless steel racing exhaust. use headers and a flow thru catalitic converter and a flow through muffler and uyou should be alright. hope this helps.
