Another Phone Service..Other Than BT?

Okay here's the scenario >BT have cut my line >I have 02 Broadband, which I want to keep because they're fabulous! >I'm not in a cabled area (so Virgin is out the question)

Can I switch to another phone service and still use 02?

It's my understanding that I have to have a BT account to use other companies.

What can I do to get my internet running again? Is the only solution to fix my problem with BT?

Your bt line will have to be active for your o2 broadband to keep working, as after aabout 1 week of your line being completly disconnected (Not receiving incoming calls) your broadband will be disconnected from your line at the exchange.

The only option you really have is paying bt, Because sky and talk talk wont instal and/or activate a line unless you take their broadband service.

So you will have to either pay bt, or let them cut you off completly, then pay o2 £50 cancellation fee, then go to sky and get sky talk line rental and sky broadband, Or go to talk talk and get their line rental and their broadband.

So working out the problem with bt is really the only soloution if you want to keep o2 broadband, i would aswell because i also have o2 broadband and its great.

As far as I know there are only 2 options in the UK at the moment. BT and Cable. Whoever you go with for your broadband, O2, TalkTalk, Bulldog, they all use BT infrastructure (except cable).

So you're stuck with BT I'm afraid. If they have cut your line by mistake then just contact them but if you owe them money then pay it or they will follow you to the depths of hell!!

    Just pay your bill.

If BT have closed your account, you'll get a final bill usually 10 days after the cease.

Once thats paid you'll have to reapply for the service- 2/3 days to reconnect. giving you a new 12 month contract.

If you dont want BT, see if another supplier will provide you with service.

But if not, pay your bill on time in future, theres no excuse.
