Not tacky, but you'd probably freak him out. It would make you seem too desperate. Guys usually just aren't as romantic as us, and though he may ready to love as well, putting it out there on a shirt would make him feel uncomfortable, and blind dates are uncomfortable enough!
Just choose something that makes you look good, that you won't feel self conscience about, and that you won't have to constantly adjust. Then you can concentrate on getting to know each other.

The meaning could be misconstrued by your date, it could appear that you have 'desperate' across your chest instead of an innocuous slogan.

yes and it seems to causal, kind of like you don't care enough about the date to wear something nice but yet it also sends a creepy message to someone who doesn't know you.
