What is "soft noodle"?
In Chinese restaurants, I have seen chow mein made with bean sprouts, as well as with pasta. However, on many menus, chow mein is offered with "soft noodle," and the term "soft noodle" is confusing. Both bean sprouts (when cooked) and pasta are soft, so what is the menu referring to when it says "soft noodle" - bean sprout, pasta, or something else?

Soft noodle chow mein is chinese noodles boiled, then tossed with stir fried meat, chicken, and or pork and vegetables. The alternative noodles are pan fried to a crisp, then topped with the meat/vegetables.

Bean sprouts are not noodles. When they offer soft noodles they mean a Chinese noodle, which is a thicker noodled boiled until soft. You can buy this type of noodle (pasta) in any Chinese section of a grocery store or in Chinese specialty shops

I think psychology is quite a demanding subject to study. When I was at university I often went in to the psychology faculty as I found the subject really interesting. It certainly wasn't thought an easy subject by students- those studying it or those on other courses. I think it's a very useful subject- criminal psychology being very interesting. Wish I'd studied it now. The department had a very good academic reputation both in the uni and on it's contribution through research.
