Could I get into Umass without taking honors classes in High School?
I want to get into any one of the Umass campuses, particularly Lowell or Boston. If I didn't take any honors classes in High School, but had a high GPA, good recommendations, lots of extra curricular activities, and good SAT scores, could I get in? Thanks!
P.S. I didn't start high school yet, but I'm deciding wether to take honors classes for next year when I start.

generally, schools look at the whole package when selecting students. And UMass isn't an ivy league so you don't necessarily need to take honors classes, but it could give you an advantage. Unless you don't think you'd do well in honors classes. In my experience, the difficulty of an honors class is also determined by the teacher, not just the curriculum.
I'd say go for it and ask for a change if you have too much difficulty.
