Could I get into Umass without taking honors classes in High School?

I want to get into any one of the Umass campuses, particularly Lowell or Boston. If I didn't take any honors classes in High School, but had a high GPA, good recommendations, lots of extra curricular activities, and good SAT scores, could I get in? Thanks!

P.S. I didn't start high school yet, but I'm deciding wether to take honors classes for next year when I start.

    Don't know how competitive those two schools are, but in general colleges will look at how many APs/honors classes a high school offers and how many you took. If you don't take any, that will make you less-competitive.

    Absolutley. UMass is not that hard to get into.
