on yahoo ppl have been calling other ppl troll is there a secret meaning?

People troll forums and yahoo answers for reactions much like people troll a lake for fish.

It means that they're like, coming up with something fake or not true, or just asking/answering retarted questions or answers that have nothing to do with the question.

A troll is a person who makes up a fake question/story... im guessing most ppl do it for attention.so yea a troll's basically a liar.

idk but i think the whole troll thing is kinda stupid why dont we all just stop accusing people of being trolls (whatever that is) I have been accused for it by asking a question! Its kinda dumb and i dont think it has a secret meaning but the bored people on here like to answer peoples questions by saying TROLL!

It means someone who comes into a message board or chat room with the deliberate intention of making trouble and getting people annoyed. Of course, people could just be using it to call other people stupid or something.

when someone calls someone else a troll, it's basically calling them a liar.
