4. DESTINY

Every major religion makes exclusive claims about truth, but the Christian faith is unique in its ability to answer all four of these questions.

I don't usually answer questions or read answers that end with that ghastly phrase, 'god bless'. But what the heck, just this once.

The three fundamentals of life? Hardly. Surely food, shelter and reproduction should be higher up the list of life's fundamentals.

1) From my parents is one obvious answer. From Ipswich or Suffolk or England or UK or Europe or Planet Earth are six more. I'm not really sure what you're asking here.

2) Why we are here is a non-question - there doesn't have to be a why? To ask that question, you have to have a very anthropocentric view of the universe, and down that route lies the suffocating quagmire of religion.

3) Same place I was before I was born. I'll be as conscious after I die as I was before I was born, and the constituent chemicals comprising my body will be recycled one way or another by the earth.

That's my view.

All religions answer those questions. The problem is that the answers are often different.

The general gist usually is;

1. (insert god here) did it.

2.To follow the precepts of (insert religion here)

3. To a good place if you followed (insert precepts here) or to a bad place if you didn't.

This one does not follow a religion but, rather, a lived philosophy and yes, it answers all of the questions you post as being fundamentals.

May the mythological beings you have chosen to believe in assist your being to progress to enlightenment.

No, and neither does yours. They only give BS answers that don't coincide with science, nor reality. Also those are hardly the fundamentals of life and if that is what you are focused on, you are really missing out.

No one knows for certain.Pretending otherwise is either delusion (as in religions) or utter human arrogance (as in science).Both religions and science cannot answer any of these questions with absolute certainty.

every religion would answer this as

1-god created me

2-to obey or love god and his word

3-heaven

but my answer is different....my answers are

1-this question arose just cuz u r human..its psychologically embedded in human to ask how it started

2-purpose depends on what u want to do...live life doing good things or waste life preaching hate(or pretending to preach love)

3-no one will go anywhere..u will die...body will turn back to nature

My faith has satisfactory answers to those three questions. Granted, the answers are probably only good enough for me, but who else do they need to impress really?

Yes. (WITH A BIG FAT HUMUNGOUS SMILE). Everytime I go to sleep for the rest of my life, I know I have nothing to worry about because from now until then because I already know all that, my life will be a breeze.
