Suggestions for a nice thank you gift?

Dinner gift card at a local restaurant and a nice card?

Recently, I stayed with a couple who would not take money.

I bought the wife a mixture of streach canvas', canvas board and paints in colors I know she doesn't use for her art.

Another friend received 200 Blank CDs and DVDS to replace the ones she uses in her home business when she did a favor for someone.

Decide if you would like something pratical (a consumeable) or something ....well....not.

Look at the style of the interior and maybe a vase or a framed print, something that you can add to the condo to let them know you enjoyed your stay.

Take them out for dinner perhaps? Or, what always works for me is to get something that means something special between you guys and incorporate that in some gift. An example if that was confusing: If you guys always talked about making a scrap book in college, make one for him/her. Little things count. Good luck!!!

Paying back someone who doesn't want payback can be difficult (bruised ego/feelings). Try to keep it simple, maybe take them out for a nice supper after you get back. You can talk about your trip and enjoy a nice dinner with friends.

clean the place up better than when you got there...or if there is nothing to clean, stock the fridge and cupboards with the makings of at least a days meals and snacks. You don't always wanna go out the first night at the beach...wink wink, nudge nudge

A nice THANK YOU gift would be a vase of flowers or a THANK YOU party disguised as a normal, random, "I was bored so I threw a party" party with music and all that.
