How do you say mermaid in Visaya?

My mom's friends want to know and I don't speak Tagalog or Visaya =(

Update:

sorry, that's in tagalog.. visaya is a dialect and different than tagalog

they're all saying kataw isn't the word...

    "Sirena" in Tagalog

    "Kataw" in Bisaya

    ok. My mama is a 100% visaya and i adopted her dialect, so, i'm sure with Kataw in bisaya. Anyway, there are lots of dialects here in the Phil so maybe you're not really looking for bisaya translation.

    there's popular children book in cebuano called "Ang Palasyo sa Serena" based on english book titled The Mermaid's Castle. mermaid must be serena.
