Why is my PC using OpenDNS instead of Yahoo!'s DNS servers?

Just that, I'm finding my PC is using OpenDNS instead of Yahoo! DNS servers.

I remember using OpenDNS a while back setting it up with my Linksys Router page (which I can't access right now?)

But I was having some problems and I changed everything back to default stuff on my Linksys router page, meaning using Yahoo!'s DNS servers.

Is there anywhere on my PC software like in IE Internet Options that I forgot to change back?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

John

Did you change your network card to obtain address automatically or have you given it a static address for the DNS servers?

I am assuming you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista.

    1. Go to Start> Run (type CMD in Vista)> Type CMD in the box (skip this if using Vista)> type ipconfig /release

    2. wait a minute

    3. type ipconfig /renew

    it should work now

you may have to run the CMD program as an administrator in Vista by right clicking on it from the start menu and the clicking on "run as administrator

Depends where you live. I'll take a wild guess and say you live in USA. If so you can!
