If the government is going to force you to have their brand of medical care, should they pay too?

Is it morally reprehensible that a family can be forced into indentured servitude to the health care delivery machine of this nation? When are we going to reach the point where we refuse to let the government have the authority to command you and your family like an 5 year old by their parents?

That is no one's plan. It has been suggested that if there is a public health OPTION that people who have no private plans could purchase more cheaply, it could make it more possible to offer affordable insurance of the 40 million uninsured (who cost us all a lot when they run to the ER in a crisis and can't pay the bill). THe private companies know this plan would probably be cheaper than theirs and drive down their prices, so they will fight against it tooth and nail. Are you one of their agents?

It doesn't work that way.... Those who don't want to use his brand have to pay for it anyway via taxes. Those who do want to use it probably don't pay taxes, so it is free for them.
