primer my car what color?
so i got a 94 civic where i bought a front end that is all primered black.
so is it okay to primer my body grey? because i thought that after u paint it the front end would be darker than the body because of the primer paint difference. is it true? help me

You should prime the car the same color if your using metallic, candy or translucent paint, because the base coat/ primer shows through those kinds of paint, it doesnt matter with other kinds of paint if the primer is the same or not.

If the proper amount of paint is applied the color will be correct...however, you may consider black primer that will not be noticeable should you you get a rock chip.

I had black bumpers on my civic and when I painted the car silver everything matched
The car was red to begin with
Just primer the car black, it'll eliminate all worries
